As a family photographer, I know that many of us can be pretty notorious for going on and on about how important it is have photo sessions and yet never getting around to photographing their own family! So with the combination of Father's Day & the blooming of the Canola Fields near Geelong, I waited for 'almost sunset' on Father's Day Eve and got my three stepkids and son together for a reasonably impromptu session! We barely fit in the car, and came back dirty, missing some shoes and tired, but hey it turned out great! It was actually a lot of fun and I'm really glad we finally got around to it. Families are only 'young' and together for such a small time in the grand scheme of things, it really is important to capture it.
