Pat & Mel's Wedding | Wedding Photography Geelong

I only photograph small weddings because frankly, I love the intimacy and candidness that surrounds them.

This particular wedding though, the wedding of Pat & Mel, is such a favourite of mine, because these guys basically managed to sum up in their wedding, everything that is wonderful about weddings!

Mel was such a beautiful and happy bride, so happy I don’t think she could contain it for most of the day and her spontaneous giggles were a highlight! Her beautiful bridesmaids were such a lovely support team, exactly how it should be.

As a couple, I’m pretty sure these guys are meant to be. They met in high school and have been together ever since!

The beautiful flower arch they put together themselves for the ceremony was just stunning, and to have their wedding in their own home with their closest family and friends was just pretty damn awesome. We headed around the corner to Point Lonsdale pier for more gorgeous photos.

It was so great to be part of their day, I loved every minute of it!

And just a bit about my wedding photography - I focus on small, intimate weddings located on the Bellarine Peninsula and up to Geelong.

I shoot ouples who have decided on a small, intimate gathering of friends and family with under 60 guests.  I offer packages that cover getting ready up until the beginning of the reception.

With up to 4 hours coverage, I offer prices that reflect your desire to book a professional photographer without the need for full day coverage.

My packages are perfect for your second wedding,  or low key couples who simply want the main moments captured on their day.

Lynden & Ashleigh (& Van & Alan the dog!) | Small Wedding Ocean Grove

There are a few reasons I only take on small, casual weddings and one of those is because I LOVE them.  They are always the happiest places to be because the couple is usually fully on board with the spontaneous, relaxed, stress free nature of the day and only the loveliest of loved ones are present! This one was no exception.     The wedding had been scheduled to take place on the river but the weather had other things in mind and we ended up undercover in Barwon Heads instead.    Luckily for me, the overcast day suited the purple/colourful theme and everyone looked amazing.

With a cute little boy and a cute (not so little) dog in tow, we beat the rain and did some gorgeous family shots before the wedding even began!

Enjoy!  xxWedding Photography Ocean Grove_0146Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0147Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0148Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0149Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0150Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0151Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0152Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0153Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0154Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0155Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0156Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0157Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0158Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0159Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0160Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0161Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0162Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0163Wedding Photography Ocean Grove_0164

Geelong Wedding Photography | Doreen & Mat

I'm so excited to blog this session as I LOVED every minute of this wedding.  As you guys know, I am now offering wedding photography in Geelong and surrounds in addition to my portrait sessions, but wedding photography with a difference!  I want to focus strictly on beautiful, small and intimate weddings, with a handful (or a bigger handful up to 50 guests or so!) of guests.    Second weddings and blended families are my thing! I had never really considered wedding photography before because I have been much more focused on capturing families, but a client contacted me asking me to do it because of my family portraiture work and I thought - why not combine them?  Reality is, many couples having relaxed, laid back weddings just want something simple to celebrate the day.   They are not focused on the flavour of the cake or the tiny details and want to focus on their loved ones.  They simply don't need the 6-12 hours coverage that full time wedding photographers are offering.    I consider my wedding photography an extension of my family photography, and I hope that comes through in the photos.

This was the second wedding I shot and I was excited the minute I heard that Doreen & Mat wanted their Kombi & Bug included in the session!  They were the perfect, meaningful backdrop to this couple - colourful and impeccably maintained, it was great to be able to combine their hobby and love into their photos.

The ceremony was beautifully simple, overlooking the waterfront in Geelong.    Funnily enough, it rained on and off for most of the day until the bride arrived and then the sun came out! How is that for a good luck sign!

I wish these guys all the best and I hope they enjoyed their images as much as I enjoyed being part of their day.

Ocean Grove Wedding | Tim & Moira

So in case you haven't noticed, I'm not a wedding photographer!  But when Moira contacted me she told me straight up she wanted someone who knew family, who knew dogs and who knew our beautiful coast - so I was pretty quick to say yes! And I have to say, I loved every minute of it.    If ever I needed a reminder that great relationships and genuine love was out there it was now, and this wedding was a complete testament to that.    It was simple but beautiful - set up at one of the beach landings in Ocean Grove.  There was no bling, no big show, but I walked away completely convinced this was an awesome family filled with a love of life, love and fun.

The weather was seriously perfect for the beach - not too cold, not too hot, not too bright!  Everyone was happy and the second those certificates were signed, it was time for celebration!

Thanks so much for letting me be part of it!

(I am *tentatively* taking bookings for SMALL intimate weddings, email me if you are interested!).
